However, this procedure may not be suitable for those who are pregnant, have blood disorders, are on blood-thinning medications, are currently undergoing cancer treatments, have a history of keloid scarring, or are taking Accutane. How long does it last?
Cosmetic brow tattooing typically lasts between 1 to 3 years. The exact duration can vary depending on factors such as skin type, metabolism, lifestyle, sun exposure, skin care products and the density of colour implanted into the skin. Touch-ups are often recommended between 6months-2 years post treatment to maintain the desired look as the pigment gradually fades over time.
Immediately after a brow tattoo, the eyebrows will appear darker and more defined than the final result. The colour may seem intense, and the area might be slightly red or swollen. This boldness is temporary, as the pigment will soften and lighten by 30-50% as the brows heal over the next few weeks. It’s common to experience slight scabbing or flaking during the healing process, which is all part of the natural healing.
